The Harajuku Barbie, Onika Tanya Maraj dropped her debut album released by Young Money on November 19th, 2010. This breakthrough album had tremendous reviews and feedback, and won the American Favorite Rap/ Hip Hop album which is unusual for a new artist. In her song entitled "Moment for Life" the female rapper, Nicki Minaj foreshadows her upcoming success and prosperity. a verse in the song that conveys this states "Everything they deprived me ofPut your drinks up It's a celebration every time we link upWe done did everything they could think of Greatness is what we on the brink of"

Nicki Minaj has Won BET's "Best Female rap artist" multiple times and though she receives the award every year like its her first she never forgets to thank her fans because she knows that they are what helped her get to the top. she states "I value and honor the fans" Minaj is the next big thing after Salt and Pepper or Lil Kim and though they are all female rap artist they never followed in one another foot steps making Nikki Minaj the Female rap artist of her time and she has yet to disappoint. This is not really a music review because you only talked about Nicki Minaj as a person. There wasn't any information on the sound of the tracks on the album and your personal opinion of the album. Without the quote at the beginning, I feel as though your introduction was strong.
ReplyDeletemake this font bigger. And focus on the album more instead of the artist itself
ReplyDeleteStill need to fix your font but good job!
DeleteI agree with Desiree the font could be a little bigger. and you did focus a lot of her personal life rather than the Pink Friday album as a whole and give a deep analysis. Because I know that you are capable of doing that. However I enjoyed your introduction. It was very strong, nice use of the quote.
ReplyDeletetalk more about the components of the albums like lyrics and individual songs.
ReplyDeleteAre you actually gonna focus on the article? its good for a research paper but it didn't focus on any of the particular songs. Very well put together background facts though.
ReplyDeleteI actually like the persecutive in which you took, you broke it down, unfortunately it seemed a like the audience was toward preteens, and not everyone.Other than that great job!
ReplyDeleteYour introduction was good, although your review mostly focused on Nicki Minaj as opposed to the album. Your review was informational.
ReplyDeleteAre you really gonna focus on the album? I believe that the article was good on background facts and that should all be put into your introduction. Just go into detail more on the songs and album and you'll be set from there.

ReplyDeleteI like that you added more pictures, however, this still seems like a quick biography instead of a music review.

ReplyDeleteThe background information that you gave in the review was really good. If someone did not know who Nicki Minaj was before reading the article afterwards they would have a good background on her. The review just needs a little more information on the album and some of the songs on it. Other than that I think it was thoroughly writen.
