Black Privilege

"It's time to talk about black privilege" This article is very controversial with many solid points that the average american would miss if they just focus on the beginning of the article statements like "Heres some good news for all you black folks complaining about racism in America." and things like this may over shadow valid points such as "Over the years, that sentiment bubbled to the surface at various times as debates over "reverse racism" and affirmative action erupted". This statement is true because blacks can be just as racist as whites but won't deem it as racism since they were the ones oppressed many years ago. Hashtags like #whitepeoplebelike are acceptable and laughed amongst many different ethnicities compared to hashtags such as #blackpeoplebelike which is unacceptable if anyone outside of the african american culture uses it. We live in a world filled with double standards but all in all it's not about getting upset with in the ignorance of others but just respect their perspective even if it's different from yours. I know there is a such thing as White Privilege but considering that blacks have privileges that surpass the visibility of White Privilege is unreal and  ignorant.

  1. I really like how you gave opinions from both sides so as an african american your giving a different perspective. I like it, good work!
